There is a single shared job all day; by evening everyone takes it home. ### Onboarding a new team New starters meet the team at the same table. Two hours is enough: how each person works, and where each one gets stuck, shows up on its own. ### Special dates and thank-yous An afternoon together instead of flowers or a gift card. The team decides between them which workshop it will be. ### Marking a win More than dinner for a team that hit its target. What is left of the celebration is made by hand and sits on a desk for months. ## From the welcome to the closing 1 0–15 min ### Welcome Your team arrives, finds a seat and meets the instructor. Tea and coffee are already on the table. 2 15–30 min ### A Short Introduction A short story of the work and how it is done. No lecture, just an easy start. 3 30–130 min ### Making Everyone works with their hands. The instructor moves table to table, the room warms up, the talk goes somewhere else entirely. 4 130–150 min ### The Closing Everyone holds up what they made. One group photo, then everyone leaves with their own piece. ## Frames from the table ![Hands arranging glass mosaic pieces to craft a Turkish lamp in Istanbul](https://img.istanbulworkshops.com/cdn-cgi/imagedelivery/m7VTUt5Pz9Po0h__W-dKMg/39ab063e-6a5d-4101-6992-a43dcd405900/public) ![Guests blending scents at an outdoor perfume-making workshop in Istanbul](https://img.istanbulworkshops.com/cdn-cgi/imagedelivery/m7VTUt5Pz9Po0h__W-dKMg/3fda6e41-9b18-48fc-f5db-cce9a6ed2800/public) ![Guest brewing Turkish coffee in a copper cezve at a Turkish coffee workshop in Istanbul](https://img.istanbulworkshops.com/cdn-cgi/imagedelivery/m7VTUt5Pz9Po0h__W-dKMg/4d534678-fbce-476a-9b5b-7cb91c867d00/public) WHY IT WORKS ## Why does it work? ### What binds a team is the hours it spends together Time spent together is what binds a strong team. A few hours of making something puts people at ease; trust grows, and the new ideas turn up at that table too. ### A table where titles carry no weight Your team makes something real, side by side. No game does this; the work is shared and the result is on the table. By evening the newest hire and the director are comparing pieces. ### Easier conversation Working with your hands gets people talking. In a relaxed setting a team practises both listening and saying what it means. Two teams at one table pass tools back and forth for two hours, and they talk the whole time. ### A real break, away from screens A few hours away from screens and meetings, in the middle of a heavy stretch. The team breathes; by the end of the day it is both rested and closer. ### Shaped around your team No two teams are the same. Are you building trust, or marking a win? Tell us and we will shape the day around it: a quiet, focused workshop for one team, a lively and talkative format for another. There is an option that fits every team. There is an option for every team. ## Workshops and Events for Your Team ![Maker pours colorful glass grains into a lamp globe at a Turkish mosaic lamp workshop in choose For larger groups we run tables in parallel: half the team can be doing mosaic while the other half sits down to marbling. And if you want to see it first, two of your team join an open workshop free. Travel and setup costs are written into the quote in plain sight, with no surprises. ### At Our Venues Coming to us works too. You can pick one of our venues on either side of the city. ### Private groups and offsites From a small team to gatherings of more than 250: offsites, launches, celebrations. For large groups we run tables in parallel, so nobody waits their turn. 8–250 people, from boutique teams to big offsites 161 countries hosted, in English and Turkish 4.93 / 5 7,873 guest reviews ## How It Works 1 ### Tell us your goals Team size, date, and what you want from the day. A short form covers it. 2 ### We tailor the session We suggest the craft, the length and the setup that suit your group. 3 ### We bring everything Materials, masters, setup: all of it is on us, so you just show up. 4 ### Your team creates & connects Everyone leaves holding what they made, and the team shares a story. ## FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS The questions companies ask us most. Anything else, put it in the form below and we will answer it in the quote. ### [My team has people with zero craft skills](https://istanbulworkshops.com/faq/my-team-has-people-with-zero-craft-skills-55) That is the most common worry we hear, and it disappears in the first twenty minutes. There is no cutting, no firing, no risk of failing. Every single participant finishes a piece they are proud of. We have hosted thousands of people who said "I am not creative" before starting. ### [How much space do you need at our office?](https://istanbulworkshops.com/faq/how-much-space-do-you-need-at-our-office-56) About 70 cm of table per person, one power socket and water nearby. We bring the rest: materials, table covers, instructors and the whole setup. ### [How long does setup take?](https://istanbulworkshops.com/faq/how-long-does-setup-take-57) We arrive about one hour before the session and pack up within 30 minutes afterwards. Your team's day is not disrupted. ### [Are your venues wheelchair accessible?](https://istanbulworkshops.com/faq/are-your-venues-wheelchair-accessible-58) Yes, we have accessible venue options. If anyone on your team has a specific need, tell us beforehand and we will set the room up the way that suits them best. ### [How do invoices and purchasing work?](https://istanbulworkshops.com/faq/how-do-invoices-and-purchasing-work-59) We are a registered Turkish company. Your purchasing team gets a proper invoice, plus the papers that go with it: tax plate, trade registry, bank details. Need a formal contract? Fine by us. ### [How far in advance should we book?](https://istanbulworkshops.com/faq/how-far-in-advance-should-we-book-60) Most groups book two or three weeks ahead and that is plenty. Past fifty people, or when you want labels with your own logo on them, four weeks gives everyone room to breathe. In a rush? Once the calendar even let us set a whole event up in a week.
