We welcome you to Istanbul Workshops where we invite you to be part of an exploration of the combination of societies and eras using interactive sessions that portray the rich Turkish culture. It is here that we shall share our history. No matter which direction you look, all around are workshops giving insight into how people have been making beautiful things since time immemorial. This is what is being done now in this grandiose city.
The Beginning
We set off from a simple but great idea; we wanted to share real Turkish artistry and culture with the whole world in its authenticity. Istanbul Workshops came into reality as a dream of setting cultures between people by a number of young artisans and cultural supporters.
Although we started out slowly it was not absent of significant changes. In this light, we organized several small events like fortune telling sessions conducted over Turkish coffee cups among others where our guests could feel traditional Turkish warmth goodness hospitality personally. In these first days filled with enthusiasm knowledge gain and pleasure from their achievements on how they can do something new at least one thing better than yesterday's attempt participant left with a lot of skills and also unforgettable memories.
Growing Together
Piqued by our one-of-a-kind workshops, word-of-mouth propelled us to diversify our program. This involves anything from creating complex mosaic lanterns and painting intricate leadlights to numerous other things that form part of workshops that have been fashioned as trips to Turkey's cultural heart.
Our development has been mainly driven by our constant search for coherence, again sustainability and finally community. As much as possible we adhere to conventional practices while creating a sense of commonality either between the participants themselves or even among them in conjunction with artisans which live close by at one time while respecting the environmental well-being or other behavior that is characteristic of our society's factors of national identity.

Do you give a certificate of completion?
Yes, on request. At the end of the session we print a simple sheet with your name, the craft, and the guide's signature. No fee; just ask before the workshop ends. Guests often add it to their trip keepsake set.
