Our guide was amazing and helpful and the activity was a really good experience

We thoroughly enjoyed the workshop. the collection from the meeting point was good. The workshop was well organised but the mosaic pieces could have been organised slightly better. The lady explaining what you need to do was very quick and kept disappearing but the guide who collected us was always on hand. My partner felt slightly rushed as he wanted to make his own design and this was not well catered for. The quality of the lamp is excellent that you make and it is worth waiting longer than an hour for it to 'go off' as it is still quite tacky. We asked for some paper to wrap prior to the bubble wrap which was great. The manager was really helpful and cheerful. All in all we had an excellent time at the workshop and it is certainly worth the money.

The activity itself was quite nice. I enjoyed making myself a lamp. But the people running it have serious management issues. We were told that we must be at the meeting location at 8:30 am and that if we didn’t show up on time, they would leave without us. So, despite landing in Istanbul at 1:30 am and not getting the opportunity to eat breakfast, we were there by 8:15 am. The guide herself was late by 3 minutes at 8:33 am, but we all stood there in the rain and proceeded to wait for late comers till 8:45 am. With all the delays and transport, the activity actually started at 9:30 am (so instead of it being a 3 hour activity from 9 am, it was only 2.5 hours long…and was rushed). Not to mention, during the activity itself, the instructor kinda neglected my presence, such as when I asked for more beads or glue. I had to seek help from the assistant, who helped me. The activity itself was nice, but general staff was not efficient or easy to work with.

They had told us to meet at a specific location at 8:30, but they let us be 15 minutes late waiting for some people. My friend and I landed at midnight which meant we couldn’t get much rest. So if we were asked to meet at a specific time, I’d like that time to be respected. When we arrived, Beyzanur was quite disrespectful towards me. Of the group, she would constantly call me out, VERY frequently asking me if I was done when my lamp was clearly not. Her general tone and attitude towards me was not appreciated, making me generally get annoyed and ruining the morning. She never talked to my friend, making me feel targeted for whatever reason. The activity itself was good fun and quite relaxing, if you don’t have someone hounding you.

Very recommended! Mustafa was a very warm and nice host who explained everything perfectly and helped us with the lamp. Really entertaining and you obtain own built souvenir. Can’t imagine it better! Also the man who picked us and guided from Sultanahmet to Uskadar, very well.

Tolle Location und sehr schöner workshop. Leider stimmt die Adresse des Workshops nicht. Wir haben extra einen Standort auf der europäischen Seite Istanbuls gewählt. Wir wurden jedoch gemeinsam mit dem Guide auf die asiatische Seite gebracht. Hat uns einiges an Zeit gekostet, weil wir im Anschluss zum Flughafen mussten.

we were picked up from the European side and walked as a group to the asian side. such a fun leisure activity, our instructor Beza was so fun and spirited. we enjoyed the class immensely. also appreciated the snacks and tea. i thought 3 hours was too long, but you need every second of it! 100% recommend.

The experience itself was great and the instructor and tour guide was wonderful. The reason I have rated this lower than 5* and a warning to others is that althought the transport to the location was included when the session ended you are left at the workshop. If you are staying on the european side you will need to take a ferry or train back - for me this was an issue as I did not have a travel card to use these services and ended up booking a cab instead. The shop was also very busy so althought it says unlimited drinks it took 40minutes and asking 3 times to get a coffee. Apart from this the experience was great and I would recommend as service on drinks is probably better when not so busy. The transport would also have been less of an issue if I knew in advance. Highly recommend but realistic feedback and watch outs for others if you are looking to book.
