Incredible experience! I learned so much about coffee and had so much fun!

We enjoyed the Turkish coffee making workshop! Our host was very friendly and helpful in teaching us the process, and it was a fun 2 hours. The activity takes place on the Asian side of Istanbul, not at the meeting point; it was really helpful that someone met us at the meeting point and showed us the way to the workshop via the metro (and paid the fare)… we had plenty of time, but be aware that you need to arrive 30 minutes earlier than the start time if you’re on the European side in order to travel to the workshop location.

The workshop leader was informative and entertaining, and the workshop was well organized and presented. The hostess was very friendly, helpful, and responsive. However, neither the activity description nor subsequent communications make clear that the activity takes place on the Asian side, which we only discovered one hour before start time, when we were quite far away on the European side. We had to scramble to figure out how to use an Istanbulkart on the fly and get to the venue, which caused a lot of undue stress. Moreover, the workshop description clearly states that participants will be given a cezve, which did not happen.

Fun learning all about the history of Turkish coffee and how to make it and telling fortunes. They even give you a certificate! Very fun.

It was a great experience attending this workshop. Kübra, who gave the Turkish coffee demonstration, was extremely knowledgeable, spoke excellent English, and was very helpful and informative. The workshop was not only about Turkish coffee; she also shared fascinating insights into Ottoman life, culture, history, and the geography of Türkiye. The entire experience was enjoyable, engaging, and educational. I highly recommend this workshop—you will not regret it. As an added bonus, the workshop takes place in Üsküdar, which is a wonderful area to explore, with plenty of great cafés, desserts, and local food options. Come and see it for yourself!

Bu etkinliği gerçekten çok sevdik, hem ilginç hem de öğreticiydi; her kahve severin katılmasını tavsiye ederim. Tek bir notum var: Tur bittikten sonra buluşma noktasına geri dönmemiz için biraz yardım alsaydık ya da en azından atölye için bir rehberimiz olacağı, ancak Avrupa yakasına kendi başımıza dönmemiz gerekeceği konusunda önceden bir uyarı olsaydı daha iyi olurdu. Sonuçta çok da zor olmadı ama dediğim gibi; önceden bir uyarı olsaydı daha iyi olurdu 😊 Bunun dışında kesinlikle harika bir deneyimdi ve paranın karşılığını fazlasıyla verdi, artık tüm atölyelerine katılmak istiyorum!

Wir waren tatsächlich nur zu zwei im Workshop - es war super angenehm, die Location ist auch sehr schön. Wir wurden von der europäischen Seite abgeholt und bis zum Cafe gebracht. Wir haben viel gelernt über die türkische Kaffeekultur, das war ein toller Einblick! Danke!

We learned a los about the history of turkish Coffee making and its process. Our guide Tanner was so kind and patient, as my Mother doesn't speak English and he waited for me to translate for her so she was not left out. The only thing is that we were expecting bigger bags of Coffee in our gift pack, they were very little. The rest was perfect.

It was great. Our guide Kubra was very sweet and explained everything very clearly and nicely.

I was picked up from the European side. The workshop took place on the Asian side. Very friendly staff, super welcoming and learned a lot! The coffee was amazing and I even got a present for home. Thanks so much! :)

Activité très intéressante, Nous avons découvert l'histoire du café Turc et la confection. Suivi d'une dégustation. Notre animatrice était très gentille, et expliquer vraiment bien. Nous recommandons vraiment cette activité.

I happened to be the only participant, which turned into an unexpected private session that could have been quite awkward, but it wasn’t at all thanks to my wonderful host! I sadly forgot her name but she was absolutely amazing! Very kind, welcoming, and knowledgeable. She explained everything clearly, made the whole experience feel natural and relaxed, and we had such a great conversation throughout. It genuinely felt like she enjoyed the experience just as much as I did. I’m truly grateful for how generously she shared her culture and knowledge with me. It made the experience feel very personal and meaningful. I would definitely recommend this activity to anyone. And of course, the coffee was excellent!

Ne eğlenceli bir etkinlikti! Rehberler çok bilgilendiriciydi ve bu konuda harika bir tarih dersi verdiler. Kesinlikle denemeye değer, tekrar katılırdım. Atölye başlamadan yaklaşık 10 dakika önce orada olmanızı tavsiye ederim. Mekan da gerçekten çok güzel. Şansa gelince… Hâlâ o milyar dolarlık ikramiyeyi bekliyorum!!! Ha!!

Very interesting and thorough! She went into the history of coffee in Turkey and had interesting stories to share. The fortune telling seemed to be a bit of an add on to the end and wasn’t the best, but still worth taking the coffee making workshop. The business was very busy and well run, I also took a perfume making workshop here which I enjoyed as well. I’d recommend this workshop to others.
