Definitely recommend this lamp making class. Everything turned out beautifully.

Super fun! Bunyamin and Aleyna are great hosts. Must do. Here’s what it’s like: Their team will pick you up from 2 central locations or meet you at the coffee shop directly (in Üsküdar - good opp to see Asian Istanbul). At a long table, they’ll have glass shards, glue, and beads ready with sample designs and the lantern itself. Aleyna offers light guidance and creative co-conspiring if you want - perfectly hands-on/off such that you can tune out and peacefully make your art. Her team serves Turkish tea and biscuits to go along with kitten head-butts on your legs 🐈. Aleyna lights up each lantern afterward (to many supportive oohs and ahhs), and bubble-wraps them for you to travel with. Better than store bought, and imbued with your personality!

My wife enjoyed the lamp experience but would have liked some history background on the lamp or story to go along with the experience. Overall good experience.

One of the best experience we had in Istanbul. This was our opportunity to have a personalized, hand-made Turkish lamp for an unbeatable deal. Great atmosphere, everybody had a good time, and all the lamps looked beautiful. Even for locals is a good experience.

This was a fascinating class hosted by the talented Bunyamin. He's able to give an excellent presentation, but also engage his audience with anecdotes and questions. If you have the time, I definitely would suggest Istanbul Workshops. It also will give you a chance to explore the Asian side of this beautiful city.The host was very communicative, punctual, and a great conversationalist. Thanks again!

Une bonne expérience avec un petit groupe.La création de la lampe se fait en musique et est très relaxante. Le café était fermé donc nous n’avons pas eu la possibilité quoi que ce soit ( ce qui était pourtant noté dans l’annonce). L’hôte était très gentille.

This workshop was a really great experience! A nice break from the hustle and bustle of Istanbul, in a cute location with great coffee :)Our instructor Aleyna was very attentive to our needs and gave us a lot of freedom to explore our creative skills. In a nutshell, it’s a lovely activity and we had a lot of fun !

We had a really good time learning how to make the Mosaic lamps. Our workshop was hosted by Elena and she was very nice and helpful. Super fun activity to do and would definitely recommend it. Also you get to take the lamp so you have a nice souvenir from your trip to Turkey!

The event was fantastic - from the meeting point to crafting to drop off, everything was well designed and executed with a personal touch.

Slow down your hectic travelling pace, and step in for a coffee….what a great way to spend an afternoon, learning about the history and significance of sharing, making and magical “truth” telling of Turkish coffee in a cool, setting. Bunyamin and team were fun, expressive and kind. A must do experience while visiting Istanbul.

We went to this workshop a few days ago and we enjoyed it very much! Our host Aleyna was the nicest. She guided us through the workshop and gave us many tips and recommendations for our whole Istanbul trip:)

We had a wonderful and interesting afternoon. We were even offered to meet together on the European side and drive to the meeting point on the Asian side. The workshop leader passionately told us about the tradition of Turkish coffee. We prepared Turkish coffee together and were also able to taste other types of coffee. At the end we were also introduced to the tradition of reading coffee grounds. All in all, a perfect experience that could not have been better. Incredibly friendly people who gave us tips for our trip to Istanbul, a goodie back with which we can now prepare our own Turkish coffee and afterwards we could relax with a coffee or tea in the beautiful garden of the café. The workshop was more than worth the money.

I had an amazing experience! The co-host guided me through the experience and taught me of Turkish customs, culture, and it’s diverse history. It’s an enjoyable and comfortable environment!

It was very unique and special experience. Our kids — 4 & 10 had a blast and we have a great souvenir to take back home.

Great intro to Turkish coffee! Benyamin is extremely knowledgeable about Turkish coffee culture, brewing, and history. The experience is held in his wonderful coffee shop with a great atmosphere. The fortune telling piece was not as much of a focus as we had expected but still fun to discuss albeit briefly ☕️

The afternoon spent with Benyamin, sharing his family’s Turkish coffee culture and learning how to make it, was such a wonderful experience! Benyamin is the most generous host and storyteller. Thank you for making our coffee drinking experience such a memorable one!!!

Super fun class that leaves you with a handmade, personalized, authentic Turkish souvenir! We had a great time in Bunyamin’s class—it’s held in his coffee shop/workshop that has a great atmosphere. He walks you through all the necessary steps but allows for plenty of creative freedom. There is an abundance of supplies so the design options are almost limitless. We absolutely love our lamps and will always remember our time in Istanbul when we see them. Benyamin also met us on the European side to help us cross over to the Asian side where the class is held—it was very easy to do so definitely don’t let that stop you from booking this experience

It was really special way to learn more about the Turkish culture. It was fun to make your own lamp to take with you as a unique souvenir/memory. The cafe was cute and through this tour we found places we otherwise not went to.

This was such a fun experience. Highly recommend this to anyone. Its so much more fun to make your own lamp then just buy it. Ben gave everyone the space to make their lamps at their own pace. The cafe was really cute, which we otherwise wouldn’t have found. Highly recommend this to everyone!

Aleyna was amazing and super engaging with our kiddo. The workshop really lets you be creative and the take home mosaic lamp (electrical source included) is a beautiful souvenir of the experience!

Great activity for the entire family! Our 7-year old loved making his lamp and spent a lot of time carefully designing it. Plus we get a nice souvenir to bring back home. Would totally recommend to adults and families with kids alike! The class takes place in a hipster cafe and it's a cool place to hang out as well.
