Great experience! easy to get to the workshop (which is also a coffee and tea garden) but host met us on european side and paid for our travel to the workshop.host was very helpful throughout the lamp making process and additional teas / coffees were provided.I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to try something different on a visit!!

My mom and I booked this experience first thing after booking our trip to Istanbul. We had no idea what to expect, but the lamp making, history and Bunyamin were incredible. Would book this again and again! And will recommend to friends that visit!

I recently had the pleasure of attending Bunyamin's Turkish Coffee Making & Fortune Telling Workshop through Airbnb, and I must say it was a truly delightful experience. Bunyamin's passion for Turkish coffee and fortune telling shone through from the moment we arrived.First and foremost, Bunyamin was an excellent host. He welcomed us with warm hospitality and made us feel right at home. He had a deep knowledge of Turkish coffee and its cultural significance, and he was eager to share his expertise with us. He started the workshop by explaining the history and tradition behind Turkish coffee.The workshop itself was well-structured and engaging. Bunyamin demonstrated the traditional process of preparing Turkish coffee, from grinding the beans to brewing the perfect cup. He explained the importance of the specific techniques involved, such as using a cezve (a small pot) and achieving the desired foam on top. We all had the opportunity to practice these techniques under his guidance, which made the experience even more immersive.The highlight of the workshop was undoubtedly the fortune telling aspect. After enjoying our freshly brewed Turkish coffees, Bunyamin showed us how to interpret the patterns left behind in the cup. His explanations were detailed and insightful. It was a fascinating glimpse into the world of fortune telling and a memorable way to conclude the workshop.What set Bunyamin's experience apart was his genuine passion for Turkish coffee and fortune telling. Quest’esperienza è una delle migliori che si possono fare in Turchia. È stato bellissimo poter conoscere la cultura turca legata al caffè e quella delle persone del gruppo. Lo considero un momento di arricchimento personale molto importante. Bunyamin è un host fantastico: preciso, puntuale, gentile, sempre attento e molto simpatico. Ci ha raccontato qualche aneddoto personale molto bello. Il luogo dell’esperienza è molto carino e tranquillo, ottimo per poter poi fare un giro nella parte asiatica di Istanbul. Il caffè era delizioso e l’esperienza unica. Inoltre alla fine Bunyamin ci ha regalato un set per preparare il caffè a casa, veramente un’idea carinissima. Lo consiglio a tutti, sia per l’esperienza in sè sia per Bunyamin che la rende ancora più speciale!

I’m so happy we did this, it was such a nice authentic experience and Bunyamin did such a great job in telling us the story of coffee culture in Turkey. He has some funny anecdotes which we loved. I definitely recommend doing this In Turkey, it was a highlight of our trip for sure.

Fun experience

Learning about turkey’s history with coffee as well as the process was a wonderful experience with friends. Benjy was an excellent guide and wonderful teacher

If you’re thinking about doing this, stop thinking and just DO it. It is a once in a lifetime experience: the host was super sweet and thoughtful and super helpful as well. This is definitely a unique experience and one I’ll never forget. It was wonderful and perfect and so intimate. It’s such a wonderful souvenir and wonderful story to tell people. It’s a great value as well. 10/10

My friends and I had a great time at the coffee workshop. The host is really fun and friendly and we learned a lot. The location is also in a more local area and it was so nice to walk around there afterwards to get away from the the more crowded and busy areas. I highly recommend this experience!

Bunyamin is a great storyteller, and it's a special experience. I learnt more about coffee in that hour, than most of the previous similar tours I've been on. He's also a great English speaker (like a native) and makes it easy and comfortable for groups to mingle and get to know each other. One of the more unique opportunities in Istanbul - worth worth a visit.

Je recommande à 100% pour un souvenir orignal ; l'endroit est vraiment sympa ! Nous avons pu faire nos lampes grâce au conseils et explications de Bunyamin qui a été très ouvert et sympathique. Nous avons aussi pu profiter de café et thé Turc ainsi que de biscuits et de caliner les chats :)

Amazing experience! So worth it! Bunyamin is an amazing host. He met us on the European side and took us to his workshop. He was so helpful and personable. Free tea and coffee during the entire experience and bunyamin never let your cup be empty. He also wrapped up the lamps perfectly for travel. Would recommend and can’t wait to do it again when I’m back in Istanbul.

I was quite pleased with the experience. The history and cultural presentation at the beginning was really insightful. It gave me a new perspective on how significant coffee is in the fabric of Turkish society, and the presenter was knowledgeable, making the information easy to understand.The hands-on brewing process was enjoyable and unique. While grinding the beans and using the traditional cezve, I felt a deeper connection to the Turkish coffee-making tradition. Although I would have loved to learn more about the intricate techniques involved, it was still a great experience for a beginner.The coffee conversation and fortune-telling segment added a touch of fun to the session. While the fortune-telling part might not resonate with everyone, I found it interesting and quirky, adding to the authentic feel of the workshop.The Turkish Coffee Making Set we received as a keepsake was beautifully crafted and will surely be a great reminder of this cultural journey.

This experience was so much fun, I ended up making 2 lamps and could have spent the whole day there. It feels like I've got something special to take home with me. The whole experience was well organised, fun and relaxing.

Very recommended, especially for the crafty souls! A cool space to explore with such a traditional item, variety of colours and definitely no pressure to make it perfect but to learn and have a nice time.

This experience was definitely worth it. The host was very personable and the environment was charming and relaxing. Host tried his best to accommodate us and overall made the experience great. We walked away with a lamp that was personal and easy to make with the guidance provided !

Great experience to learn all related to Turkish coffee from a profesional and passionate of his roots such as Bunyamin it is. It was great to learn how to prepare and probably I’ll never forget the lesson. Worth it at all!
