It's a fun way to learn more about turkish culture and have a great coffee-aftertaste :) Bunyamin is an amazing host, he gave us some useful tipps in Istanbul and made our time even more magical. Beside learning a new skill, the whole experience was just authentic and real. It also enlightened us on the history of Turkish coffee making. The coffee shop and it’s location on the Asian side of Istanbul was quite special. Bunyamin was kind and intuitive and just a very dear person. I highly recommend this experience.

Bunyamin and Ali were excellent hosts for this experience. As a coffee lover, it was really exciting to learn more about the history of Turkish coffee and experience making it. The coffee itself was also really amazing!

Absolutely amazing experience! Our host Fatih was really thoughtful and accommodating, the storytelling was great, the gift in the end of the coffee making is a nice touch, and he helped us a lot with few touristy questions and we are more than grateful he went beyond his way to help us to get back, explaining how to use public transport. 10/10 hospitality!

My mother is a big fan of Turkish coffeeThis experience was like a dream come true to her.So attending this workshop as a family was delightful, we finally got to learn about what makes our evening talks around cup of coffee way enjoyable.We’ve learnt the cultural aspects related to Turkish coffee making from the source.As this was not our first time with Bunyamin, his guidance, storytelling and generous cultural heritage sharing.This workshop is highly recommended to straighten the family, friendship, and special bonds ☕️

I definitely recommend this experience if you are in Istanbul!!! From the beginning Bunyamin was extremely helpful, his storytelling of the history of Turkish coffee culture and history. He will teach you how to make your own traditional Turkish coffee followed by tasting and a little fortune telling for fun. The gift at the end of the experience was a nice surprise! 100% recommend

I really enjoyed this experience! It was more than I expected. I learned how to make Turkish coffee, it's history and a little about coffee reading. At the end, I also got recommendations from on places to visit in Üsküdar. I definitely recommend it. Loved the goodie bag at the end!

I had so much fun learning about turkish coffee culture, how to brew it and finally how to read destins out of it. ;) It has been an absolute pleasure, the hosts are super friendly and funny. Defenitly recommended!

A must do experience if you’re visiting Istanbul. I couldn’t have asked for a better local experience. My mom and I arrived early on a 3 day group tour of the city and I took a look at what was available in the area to pass the time and avoid jet lag. I’m so happy to have found the Turkish coffee experience. This was my mom’s favorite part of her Istanbul experience — even a better and more personal experience than the Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque 😉 ! 10/10!

The coffee experience was an absolute blast. We enjoyed every part of it from the grinding to learning how to tell someone’s fortune from their cup of coffee. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming and the host Bunyamin was pleased to be around and explained every set either ease and in detail for us to understand. 10/10 all around Thank you

This was such a nice and heartwarming experience to have during my stay in Istanbul! Our host, Bunyamin, was very welcoming and friendly. My favourite part was the process of making the coffee itself - it felt very meditative. It was quite funny to do the fortune telling part afterwards as well. Can definitely recommend this to other travellers going to Istanbul (:

It was a pleasure to attend this experience. The atmosphere was very warm, friendly and cosy. A very good balance of actually learning how to make the coffee and about its history and traditions. Loved the slow conversation over the cup of coffee, definitely recommend.

It was a simple experience in an easygoing atmosphere. It was fun to get a little creative with the fortune telling and spin up stories about what lies ahead. The host was extremely friendly and made the environment conducive for social interaction amongst ourselves. We hung around afterwards to chat a little so they’re definitely not rigid about the times and they are not going to kick you out when the session ends.

I sit here, back home making a cup of Turkish coffee with the simple printed instructions I received from the coffee making class. A charming Cezve gifted to me from the class, a coffee cup and saucer swiftly take me back to that delightful day. A comprehensive and interesting talk with PowerPoint slides detailing the history of Turkish coffee, its role and evolution, cultural aspects e.g. salted Turkish coffee given to a groom on his wedding, fortune telling and its origin in the Ottoman Empire. A splendid talk.During the class I was given a step by step guide on how to make Turkish coffee in the traditional way and what to avoid eg do not add sugar after making the coffee as the residue will swirl to the top. Our teacher/ guide is a kind and knowledgable man. This along with other experiences in Turkey made me feel as welcome as I do in my home country. This class embodies the Turkish spirit of friendship, hospitality and harmonious distribution of knowledge/ philosophy. He was kind enough to meet us on the European side of Istanbul and took us to the cafe on the Asian side of Istanbul where the coffee making class happens; you can take the time after the class to explore the Asian side of Istanbul.This class is essential to your journey in Istanbul and the coffee making set (Cezve ie a small pot, coffee cup, saucer) means you can always go back there for a brief moment in your own home.
