What is Istanbul Workshops and what do you offer?
Who we are
Istanbul Workshops is a Turkish craft studio in Istanbul. We host hands-on sessions led by trained guides in small groups. Our brand is on file with TÜRKPATENT. The studio has been in active use since 2023. Our motto sits at the heart of what we do: where tradition meets modernity. We share authentic Turkish craft and culture with guests from around the world.
How we started
We set off with a simple goal. We wanted to share real Turkish artistry with the world in its authentic form. Istanbul Workshops began as a dream of building bridges between cultures, run by a team of young artisans and culture supporters. The early days started slowly, with small fortune telling sessions over Turkish coffee. Guests felt traditional Turkish hospitality up close. The team grew, the catalog grew, and our hands-on sessions became what they are today.
What we offer
Our craft sessions sit at the calm end of the Istanbul workshop scene. The catalog covers crafts that have been part of Turkish culture for centuries. Mosaic lamp making, perfume making, stained glass, Turkish coffee with fortune telling, illumination, tile painting, leather crafting, ebru, and calligraphy are some of the workshops in our catalog. Word of mouth has grown the program over time, and new crafts are added when our team can teach them at the same level of care.
How a session runs
Each workshop runs in a small group. The guide opens with a short demo. The materials, tools, and the finished piece are shown. Then you start. The guide moves between work stations and helps where needed. You ask questions when you want. A session usually runs two to three hours. You leave with a piece you built yourself.
Our methodology
We blend traditional Turkish hospitality with modern tools. Our team uses an internal CRM system we built ourselves to keep operations smooth and the guest experience tight. We also use tools to understand our guests deeply, so the session feels right for the person sitting at the station. The setting is built around the craft, not around tourist traffic.
Who we are for
Our art workshops Istanbul guests join are for first-time craft visitors. You do not need any prior experience. You do not need to draw or sketch. The session is shaped around guests who walk in with no skills. Most of the people in your group will be in the same boat. Solo travelers, couples, families, and small parties all join us.
