The stained glass painting was so much fun! Our hoca (teacher) Eda was lovely, so talented, and really helpful while we worked on our project. The entire team at Istanbul Workshops was really cool and friendly. Angekommen in der Fabrika wurde uns alles genau erklärt und dann konnten wir auch schon die Lampen nach unserer eigenen Ideen verzieren. Es gab Kaffee und Tee so viel man wollte. Die Lampen sind sehr schön geworden und funktionieren einwandfrei. Würde den Workshop auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen.Super Workshop! Von der Abholung bis zum Schluss ein tolles Erlebnis! Es hat sehr viel Spaß gemacht die Lampen zu kreieren! Es wird alles Schritt für Schritt erklärt und der Guide ist immer sehr hilfsbereit und geduldig. Wir hätten den ganzen Tag dort verbringen können! Ein Muss in Istanbul. Und die Lampe, die man nach Hause nehmen darf, ist das Sahnehäubchen!The activity was amazing! He went through the history of coffee in Türkiye and spoke so much about how and why they drink coffee. I went with my 3 friends and we all said it had been the highlight of our trip. I usually move at fast pace but this activity required close attention to detail & patience. This was absolutely fun. I was able to meet other travelers who shared similar experiences in life & taught some new languages as well as the history. It was absolutely amazing and so enjoyable! I really enjoyed the fact that we had the opportunity to create something and get involved with the Turkish culture. We also were provider with unlimited tea which was really lovely. I strongly recommend this for anyone visiting Istanbul. You won’t be disappointed! The guide is incredibly friendly, and the teacher is as sweet as can be. A historical introduction to the topic, extremely friendly treatment, and unlimited coffee/tea make for a delightful experience. You also feel absolutely comfortable in the cozy studio. Being located on the Asian side of Istanbul means it's not overly touristy, making it a true hidden gem.I had watched these typical oriental lamps in shops and it was a great opportunity to discover how to make it by myself ! In the heart of Istanbul, I experienced an extraordinary glass painting workshop characterized by exceptional service and hospitality. From the moment we arrived, the warmth and genuine smiles of the workshop team made us feel at home. The workshop leader, in addition to being an expert in her craft, was exceptionally helpful, offering personalized guidance throughout the session. What really distinguished this experience was the generosity extended to us. In addition to the artistic exploration, we were treated to a delicious array of local delicacies and teas, which added an authentic flavor to our stay in Istanbul. Ali, one of the workshop guides, not only enriched our experience with wise recommendations, but became a trusted friend, sharing his extensive knowledge of the city and its cultural treasures. Overall, the glass painting workshop provided us with not only a creative outing, but also a deep immersion into Istanbul's rich tapestry of art and hospitality.This was so much fun! The instructor was very helpful, there were so many options to make the lamp our own, and it was fairly easy to understand how to do! Great activity for any skill level.Our host was so friendly and relaxed. We worked at a leisurely pace while chatting, snacking on homemade biscuits and drinking coffee and tea. The room was lovely warm (it was icy outside) and inviting with great background music. It felt like a little retreat away from the hustle and bustle of Istanbul. Whether you're highly creative or not, you can do this. My little lamp is a beautiful reminder of my time in Turkey.We didn't have any drinks refilled during the 3 hours, and didn't have time to do the finishing touches, had to leave quickly. Overwise it was cool.Рекомендую к посещению!The activity was one of the best we had in Turkey. The team was extremely friendly. The place was really cute! We had so much fun making the Mosaic lamps, drinking tea and coffee, and meeting other travellers. We went for the option for the meet up point which was really nice. Mustafa (workshop representative that met us at the pick up location was trying to engage with us all the time and made the workshop so much fun) and Ali were really friendly and they helped us with many questions we had about where to go in Turkey and the best Baklava shops (and it really was the best!). Honestly my sister and I enjoyed this experience very much, way more than we expected! Thank you so much.It was great, the hosts are wonderful and the place is cozy, the atmosphere is great. I loved it!I loved it! We met at the meeting point right on time and proceeded to the café by metro. The place was so cool, they have 3 types of workshops, we chose the stained glass painting workshop. After a short lession of history of stained glass, our teacher gave us instructions on how to use the colours. It was super fun and easy, we talked all the time and the tea kept coming! Can’t wait to come back and have this amazing experience again! Thank you so much for this lovely and heartwarming evening 🫶As a lover of arts and crafts this was right up my street. Mustafa was an excellent host. He came and met me on the European side and escorted me to the venue via the metro. His English is excellent and chatted about the history of the city. The workshop is situated in a cute cafe where we were given free Turkish tea and coffee. He explained everything really well, going through each stage. The course takes about 3 hours, and the lamp you come away with, really is lovely. Excellent value for money and a lovely way to spend the afternoon. Thanks for a great workshop Mustafa :)A really fun activity!This was the 2nd activity my Aunt and I did here on our Istanbul trip, and we loved it! We chose not to meet up with the guide (mobility issues) & took a taxi right to the shop. The whole place is super cute & everyone is so nice! The inside part looks like an actual "workshop" and they have a nice outside seating area. They have coffee & bakery items you can order. The staff is friendly & helpful, & they even have an adorable resident kitty named Crepe ♥️ The workshop itself was really fun & even my Aunt (who doesn't usually like this kinda stuff - like arts and crafts) had a good time! They give you everything you need & several design options for your lamp. They walk you through the process/steps & are right there for any questions or help - I needed help with the glue b/c I have really shaky hands. Expect to be there for 2-3 hours.
