I’m so happy we did this, it was such a nice authentic experience and Bunyamin did such a great job in telling us the story of coffee culture in Turkey. He has some funny anecdotes which we loved. I definitely recommend doing this In Turkey, it was a highlight of our trip for sure.If you’re thinking about doing this, stop thinking and just DO it. It is a once in a lifetime experience: the host was super sweet and thoughtful and super helpful as well. This is definitely a unique experience and one I’ll never forget. It was wonderful and perfect and so intimate. It’s such a wonderful souvenir and wonderful story to tell people. It’s a great value as well. 10/10Bunyamin is a great storyteller, and it's a special experience. I learnt more about coffee in that hour, than most of the previous similar tours I've been on. He's also a great English speaker (like a native) and makes it easy and comfortable for groups to mingle and get to know each other. One of the more unique opportunities in Istanbul - worth worth a visit.My friends and I had a great time at the coffee workshop. The host is really fun and friendly and we learned a lot. The location is also in a more local area and it was so nice to walk around there afterwards to get away from the the more crowded and busy areas. These furry companions were not only cute but also surprisingly attentive, delightfully exploring the workspace and occasionally seeking affection from us. Bunyamin provided a wide variety of colorful glass pieces, allowing us to personalize our lamps and truly express their creativity. He met us on the European side and took us to his workshop. He was so helpful and personable. Free tea and coffee during the entire experience and bunyamin never let your cup be empty. The history and cultural presentation at the beginning was really insightful. It gave me a new perspective on how significant coffee is in the fabric of Turkish society, and the presenter was knowledgeable, making the information easy to understand.The hands-on brewing process was enjoyable and unique. While grinding the beans and using the traditional cezve, I felt a deeper connection to the Turkish coffee-making tradition. Although I would have loved to learn more about the intricate techniques involved, it was still a great experience for a beginner.The coffee conversation and fortune-telling segment added a touch of fun to the session. While the fortune-telling part might not resonate with everyone, I found it interesting and quirky, adding to the authentic feel of the workshop.The Turkish Coffee Making Set we received as a keepsake was beautifully crafted and will surely be a great reminder of this cultural journey.It’s worth every single penny! i totally recommend it. Bünyamin was such a calm and friendly host. It was a very pleasant atmosphere. We really enjoyed making the lamp. This experience was so much fun, I ended up making 2 lamps and could have spent the whole day there. It feels like I've got something special to take home with me. The whole experience was well organised, fun and relaxing.Very recommended, especially for the crafty souls! A cool space to explore with such a traditional item, variety of colours and definitely no pressure to make it perfect but to learn and have a nice time.This experience was definitely worth it. The host was very personable and the environment was charming and relaxing. Host tried his best to accommodate us and overall made the experience great. We walked away with a lamp that was personal and easy to make with the guidance provided !Great experience to learn all related to Turkish coffee from a profesional and passionate of his roots such as Bunyamin it is. Great eperience with nice personal touch! Bunyamin is an amazing story teller and inspires his guests to learn about coffee sharing what he knows - and he knows a lot! Very remote and comfortable place in very beautiful neighborhood on the Asian side of Istanbul. Definitely would go again, and would recommend to anyone in Istanbul even if just for a few days!It was a great workshop, which allowed me to express my creative side and create a very unique gift for a loved one.Bunyamin and Fatih are awesome hosts. Fatih picked us up from the European side and took us over to the workshop. He was super welcoming and really great to get to know. There we met Bunyamin, who was a really cool and patient dude. he took his time with us, helping us come up with ideas and decorating the lamps. he also wanted to get to know us so it felt really personalized. I honestly can't reccomend the lantern making workshop enough! it was so much fun and such a nice relaxing way to spend some time in between site seeing. My dad and i both left with lamps we were really proud of. I can't recommend this experience enough!!We had a good experience and the guide was friendly and explained everything very well! My mom and I booked this experience because my mom LOVES Turkish mosaic lamps, and we thought it would be fun to make our own. Benjamin picked us up at the big Hafiz Mustafa in Sirkeci and took us over to the Asian side of Istanbul on the metro, and it was a short walk to the workshop from the train. The class began with a brief informative presentation on the history of glass mosaic lamps and some basic instructions. Each place setting was equipped with the necessary supplies, as well as a selection of cookies and Turkish tea. With ambient music (and a great playlist!), we had about an hour to design our own lamps. Then, we glued the designs onto the lamp. I was a little unsure about my fine motor skills, but everything turned out great! 😃 Before we left, Benjamin packed up the lamp globes in bubble wrap and gave each of us a certificate of appreciation.
