Me and my 7 year old son loved it! Received good guidance and the staff were very helpful assisting my son so that I could also keep up with my own lamp. We were extremely happy to see that our lamps survived the 3 flights we had after Istanbul and our lamps are by far our favorite souvenirs from our father/son trip

Es war richtig cool! Ne gute, kulturelle Aktivität und man hat sogar noch ein Souvenir für zuhause! Es ist auch garnicht so kompliziert, eine Lampe zu gestalten. Es macht Spaß und man kann der eigenen Kreativität freien Lauf lassen!

Everything was wonderful! We are grateful we got to meet the staff, everybody was very nice and helpful, not to mention kind and sweet. It's worth every single penny. Do not miss this experience if you are in Istanbul.

Amazing experience, the instructor (Ali) was helpful and kind. They helped us to find the workshop’s location from the European side, there was a meeting point and the collegue show us which public transport should we use. We were satisfied with the results also. First, I was confused about what fragrants should I use, but we had enough time to smell, think it over, and after we had chose, Ali helped us whether if it will fit or not. We are very thankful! 🥰

Der Workshop hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Man konnte den Workshopleiter sehr gut mit seinem Englisch verstehen. Das Ergebnis war auch klasse. Es gibt nur einen Punkt Abzug, weil wir den Workshop gebucht haben in Fatih und er dann aber auf der asiatischen Seite von Istanbul stattgefunden hat. Den Hinweg wurden wir von einem Guide begleitet, der auch das U-Bahn Ticket bezahlt hatte. Am Ende des Workshop war aber kein Guide mehr da und wir mussten zusehen, wie wir wieder zurückkommen. Das hätte man bereits vor der Buchung erkenntlich machen sollen, einfach dass man weiß, was einen noch erwartet.

Super leuke ervaring, en je houdt je parfum eraan over! De begeleiding tijdens de workshop is professioneel en goed en je krijgt meer dan genoeg tijd om je geur samen te stellen.

E’ stata una bellissima esperienza.. personalmente e’ stata la prima volta che ho fatto questo tipo di lavoretto. Inoltre le ragazze sono molto gentili e accoglienti.

This is an excellent hands on activity to do something different while learning about the history and culture of Turkiye. Informative, entertaining and like a comfortable, relaxing visit with friends. You learn various methods that are used and then get to brew your own Turkish coffee and it is the best cup of Turkish coffee I've ever had! The fortune telling was fun and more in depth than I expected. There is a generous surprise to end the workshop. Istanbul Workshops offers more classes and while your there try the delicious tiramisu in their coffeehouse and explore the Asian side of the city. Highly recommended!

Everything about this experience was amazing. We were given clear directions on where to meet our host on the European side and escorted, with the fare paid for, via the metro to the Asian side, Uskudur. We were then escorted to the workshop where we met our instructor, Bintang, who gave us an excellent tutorial on the design and construction of our lamps. Coffee, tea and biscuits were complementary and the atmosphere was friendly and fun. Best of all, we left with complete, beautiful lamps that will be a lasting memory of our visit to Istanbul!

Our family had an amazing time — this was absolutely one of our top experiences. We travel all over the world with our two boys (boys; ages 11 and 15), and it’s not always easy to find something everyone enjoys. This hit the mark for all four of us. My younger son needed a little extra help with some of the pieces, and the instructor was incredibly patient and polite, taking the time to guide him through. Everyone involved was genuinely kind and thoughtful, which made the experience even better. The finished product was something we all loved, and it was well worth the money. I highly recommend this for anyone, especially families with different personalities and interests. It’s a rare find that brings everyone together — and this did exactly that.
