We lucked out by having a private group session with Ali where we were able to learn more about Turkish culture which was already a huge bonus on top of the basics of perfumery.
We had much time to explore the 70+ scents and to formulate our unique scent. I highly recommend this workshop to anybody who is interested in fragrances! You get to bring home your own bottle too.

The workshop was one of my favorite experiences in Istanbul. The teacher was super friendly, knowledgeable, and he made everyone feel comfortable and helped the group connect so naturally.
The workshop is held in a cozy, atmospheric café and they have over 70 perfume ingredients to play with, which made the whole process feel really personal and creative. I left with a scent that feels totally me :)

Very enjoyable and well organised workshop!Host was very knowledgeable and made us feel welcomed. However they should be strict with meeting times - we were on time but had to wait almost 20 mins for late comers under the hot sun! Wasn’t fair for participants who were punctual.
Nice environment on the Asian side of Istanbul BUT the activity should have been done in a place AWAY from smokers as the constant cigarette smoke from the next tables really interfered with our experience / the cigarette smoke kept filling our nostrils and interrupted our scent testing!Çok güzel bir deneyimdi, bir sonraki İstanbul ziyaretimde ayarlayıp tekrar gitmeye çalışacağız. Great way to meet people locally and internationally while putting together these unique scents!Great time making a custom perfume. They lead you through the process and are super helpful when it comes to assiting you with mixing certain scents to find your ideal one. Love the scent I ended up making - would highly recommend. Plus the bottle size is carry on friendly, while still feeling like you have a substantial amount.This was the first thing I did in Istanbul and I’m so glad I did! C’était une belle découverte, et nous sommes repartis ravis, avec une jolie lampe en souvenir. On recommande chaudement !Such a well run workshop from start to finish. I met the guide as per instructions at 8.30am outside the Turkish Delight shop with a few other people. He took us on the underground railway to Uskudar where the workshop was. We had excellent instruction on decorating our lamps, unlimited tea and coffee and a lot of laughs. We were then given the choice of returning via underground or exploring Uskadar for a few hours and then returning at 2pm. I opted to hang around and took a walk up and down the coast line, past Maidens Tower, watched the fishermen and boats going up and down the strait. All in all it turned out to be two trips for the price of one. Everyone was extremely patient and friendly. Highly recommended, plus they do other workshops too - perfume, glass painting, leather making. Check them out! Did I mention the cake I had for lunch. And watch a chocolate maker for 15 mins.Fun full of laughter and the people were very helpful and kindGreat atmosphere, super organization, awesome guide :) and I love the perfume I created at the end.Все прошло бесподобно. Definitely would recommend this activity!Nous avons adoré créer notre parfum dans ce magnifique café. L’activité est à la fois ludique, amusante et offre un excellent rapport qualité prix (surtout pour Istanbul). Pour 16 euros, vous avez deux heures d’atelier et repartez avec votre propre parfum. Et avec un peu de chance et de talent, il sentira très bon. C’était une expérience vraiment agréable. We really enjoyed this 2-hour perfume making experience. Our guide Ali was educational and entertaining and it was very rewarding to take the time to experiment and create a bespoke personal scent to take home.It was a really enjoyable activity. The instructor was very helpful and made us feel comfortable. I would definitely recommend this activity when visiting Istanbul. This was my 2nd time returning to Istanbul and doing it! Beyzanur was an excellent host, who was very helpful and explained everything very well, also talking about the history behind mosaic lamps which was very interesting! The first time I had Ali as my host who was equally as amazing and hospitable! We had more than enough time to complete our mosaic lamps, which you get to take home with you bubble wrapped to ensure they don’t break. We were also provided with unlimited drinks/snacks which was very kind! Overall was an incredible experience yet again!We had a amazing time at the leatherworkshop and we had much fun to make our own leather-moneybag. We can highly recommend it especially because of the instructor! We had a great time with him and he made a very good job in looking after us so we didn't make any mistake. Keep in mind, the workshop is at the asian part of istanbul but you can meet at the european part and a guide will lead you to the workshop. Transportation was included.
