We love this workshop. Our guide is a knowledgeable and kind barista trainer. The environment was perfect. We learnt a lot about Turkish coffee culture and technique. At the end of the workshop, we also got a gift bag and a certificate!🥰 definitely recommend!What a disaster. They provided only part of what was offered. If the three types of coffee, we only did two. No water, tea or snacks were offered. This event takes place on the Asian continent. They meet you in the European side and take you over. They say they will return you back to the pickup point, as advertised. However, when the event was over they said It was up to us to get back. I filed a complaint with Viator that they never even responded to. Shane on Viator to not offer a refund based on the vendor failing to provide the excursion as advertised and not even getting back to Viator. Shows who more important to Viator, and that’s not you.Really enjoyable host, gave a good presentation of the history, significance and coffee making experience. One of the best things we did in Instanbul. The coffee making was informative, fun and a really great way to connect with Turkish culture, whilst spending some great time with others. Thank you so much 🙏🏻We had a great time making Turkish Coffee and learning about the history and fortune telling. The coffee was delicious and we were able to take away the tools to try making some at home! The team there are all so friendly and helpful, we had a great experience!this is one of the best experiences ever. the time taken to explain the cultural significance was amazing. special shout out to the hosts for accommodating my 4 month old throughout the session. loved every bit of the experience.Interesting history, instructor made things very easy to understand, I got a new skill and now know the tricks to making delicious Turkish coffee. It was fascinating to learn about the history and preparation of traditional Turkish coffee — and the fortune telling part using the coffee grounds was definitely a highlight. Our instructor was very friendly and welcoming, and explained everything clearly and patiently. You could tell he was passionate about what he was doing, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Not a big deal but had to buy a metro card during rush hour when we could have purchased one earlier in the day.Very involved and fun activity! The session runs about ninety minutes from sit-down to leaving. Brewing takes around twenty, drinking and resting fifteen, and the cup reading another twenty. The rest is open time for second cups, photos, and questions.
You brew Turkish coffee on a cezve with us, drink it slowly, then we read the grounds. The price covers brewing materials, lokum and water, the guide for the full session, and a printed note of the reading.
