An absolute must-do when in Istanbul! Our host was superb and as well as learning how to make Turkish coffee, we also learned much about its history - all very interesting! The gifts we each received at the end were a lovely added touch and much appreciated. The venue also runs perfume making and lamp and tile decorating workshops (plus, no doubt, other ones) and they all looked great fun. Definitely do at least one of these activities during your stay!

Amazing help from Bahar to get around. The coffee lesson and fortune telling was a fantastic experience. The practical was fun and useful and the historical information was interesting without being super heavy or academic. 100% would recommend.

it was about 2 hours. making the actual coffee was pretty quick. you had a lot of time for the lesson and debrief. they give you a free Turkish coffee cup and plate and some instant coffee. They this will try to sell you the grinder and boiling cup as well.

Sehr gute Erklärung zum Kaffee und wo die Aromen neben der Röstung herkommen. Dann typischen Kaffee mahlen, kochen und trinken. Im Kaffeesatz dann symbole und Zeichen erkennen und deuten. Abschluss mit einem weiteren Kaffee. toll (in Englisch). danke

It was a really fun way to get to know turkish coffee culture, the guide was very friendly and lead the workshop in an interesting way. The place was cosy and welcoming as well

This was a fantastic class with coffee expert Tanar, who gave us a fun, educational experience that included a short lecture, hands-on coffee-making, fortune-telling, and party favors. I went with my family, and the six of us have varying levels of interest in coffee but everyone loved the class. The workshop is charming and Tanar was a terrific instructor. I would absolutely recommend this activity as a fun way to spend a couple of hours and a great excuse to visit a lovely neighborhood of Istanbul that we wouldn’t otherwise have seen.

we hadden een fijne ervaring. begeleid transport van het europese naar het aziatische deel. uitgebreide info over de turkse koffie geschiedenis en tradities. daarna onze eigen koffie gemaakt en de toekomst voorspeld adhv het koffiedik. hele fijne gids en 2 leuke andere groepsgenoten.

I think it doesn’t worth the money…. The organization was good first but the workshop itself was not like I expected. The instructor is nice and welcoming. The presentation was a bit boring and I felt I wanted to sleep many times… there are several other workshops going on so her voice was very low and couldn’t hear most of the words although I was right next to her…. Also the workshop said that there was a pet about fortune telling reading but she said it’s haram do her bec of religious stuff so she doesn’t read but have us a guide which can be found online

Kaffee machen war ganz gut aber die Geschichte dazu wirkt ein wenig aufgebauscht. Hat alles irgedwie länger gedauert als nötig gewesen wäre. Trotzdem war unser Guide sehr nett und hat das ganze gut rüber gebracht.

I had a great conversation and experience with Taner. This was my second visit to Istanbul workshops. I absolutely love it. Great value and depending on the activity you get a little souvenir from your time there.

Workshop se mi moc líbil a odcházela jsem nadšená! Název je trošku zavádějící, jde především o přípravu kávy a její historie. Věštění je jen taková třešnička na dortu.

Kubra was the best instructor and lead. She was very thoughtful and engaging. I wasn’t very good at making coffee but her patience was lovely. I will be coming back to the workshop for other classes
