Thanks to our host and her hospitality.I was lucky enough to have this course all by myself, so I got to have conversations about loads of different topics with the coffee master. Being a bit of a coffee enthusiast myself it was a very good presentation on the history of coffee and the role of the Ottomans in it. It was also great to be able to make the coffee with different beans to separate what one can expect from a normal Istanbul street vendor and what you can expect at a specialty shop.Dobrze zorganizowana, informacje podawane na bieżąco. Our host was superb and as well as learning how to make Turkish coffee, we also learned much about its history - all very interesting! The gifts we each received at the end were a lovely added touch and much appreciated. The venue also runs perfume making and lamp and tile decorating workshops (plus, no doubt, other ones) and they all looked great fun. Definitely do at least one of these activities during your stay!Amazing help from Bahar to get around. The coffee lesson and fortune telling was a fantastic experience. it was about 2 hours. making the actual coffee was pretty quick. you had a lot of time for the lesson and debrief. they give you a free Turkish coffee cup and plate and some instant coffee. They this will try to sell you the grinder and boiling cup as well.hacer el cafeIt was so fun! I went with my family, and the six of us have varying levels of interest in coffee but everyone loved the class. The workshop is charming and Tanar was a terrific instructor. The organization was good first but the workshop itself was not like I expected. The instructor is nice and welcoming. The presentation was a bit boring and I felt I wanted to sleep many times… there are several other workshops going on so her voice was very low and couldn’t hear most of the words although I was right next to her…. The session runs about ninety minutes from sit-down to leaving. Brewing takes around twenty, drinking and resting fifteen, and the cup reading another twenty. The rest is open time for second cups, photos, and questions.
You brew Turkish coffee on a cezve with us, drink it slowly, then we read the grounds. The price covers brewing materials, lokum and water, the guide for the full session, and a printed note of the reading.
