Aziz was a brilliant instructor, we had a great time learning to make proper Turkish coffee from beans and the history behind Turkish coffee, then telling each others fortunes in the grounds, would absolutely recommend!!It was lovely, a bit of history and coffee. A very good experience if you have a couple of hours free in your itinerary. Only drawback is that this is on the Asia side so commute especially for this can be a hassle. Would recommend to cover this on your Asia-side day. Ali is a good guide who helped me reschedule the workshop as my flight got delayed. Great giveaways as well. The instructions for making the coffee were very clear and precise. It was a cost session, and everyone got the ample attention in coffee making and asking of questions. The experience was great, and we left with some souvenirs too! It was unexpected, and a really nice touch to the whole experience. We enjoyed ourselves a lot!It was fantastic! Ali was a (Turkish) delight from start to finish! He meet us at the train station and was calm and kind even though we were in a rush and late (Istanbul traffic ️). He was funny and knowledgeable when presenting his coffee class - we had a great time and got all his questions right at the end! We recommend this completely. The session runs about ninety minutes from sit-down to leaving. Brewing takes around twenty, drinking and resting fifteen, and the cup reading another twenty. The rest is open time for second cups, photos, and questions.
You brew Turkish coffee on a cezve with us, drink it slowly, then we read the grounds. The price covers brewing materials, lokum and water, the guide for the full session, and a printed note of the reading.
