They gave a great history and then made everyone feel comfortable with the process. 1000/10, would recommend!vraiment une super activité ! on a adoré tous les 4 et le rendu est top par contre pas du tout a l emplacement indiqué sur le plan. c est a uskudar et non a emonimu. c est utile de le savoir pour planifier ses journées après c est facilement accessible on a mis 15minutes pour y aller mais toujours bien de savoir ce genre de choses avantThe activity was well organised with clear instructions and friendly assistants. It was hard work to get it done in the time but everyone did it. The coloured glass pieces available to build the mosaics were limited in terms of colour. Most of us had to change our colour choices. That said, the results were surprising and beautiful. Great to do this with friends and family. Tea and water served throughout. They also did other workshops (eg perfume workshop) which I'd explore in my next trip.Es war sehr schön. This tour shows a starting point in Faith on the European side of Istanbul but the workshop is actually located on the Asian side and the pickup location is on the European side. The cost of the ferry or tram to the Asian side is included in your ticket to get there and if you time it right you can walk back with your guides but the return route is not part of your activity. We ended up getting a taxi back because we couldn’t wait 30 minutes after getting the lamp to wait for the guides to walk with us back. Also be aware that this activity does not include drying time of 1 hour. I would recommend you planning on 4 hours plus travel time and having a meal at a nearby restaurant while you wait for your lamp to dry. The workshop itself was very fun and the guides were very nice and if you are okay with the above comments on location and actual activity time then I would recommend it.Outstanding. Great fun. Very nice and interesting activityGreat experience would highly recommend. Guide greeted us European side and travelled across to their location. Very friendly and relaxed atmosphere, all steps clearly outlined. Fantastic souvenir to take home.Was a super fun experience, the team was very great, and you get to take a little piece of Turkiye back home with you in your lamp. 10/10 recommend this activityReally fun and unique activity. Loved the step by step explanation and not feeling rushed.¡La experiencia de hacer la lámpara propia fue ESPECTACULAR! Muy lindo studio, super claras las instrucciones, muy divertida la experiencia, te dan un té turco y unos mini scones muy ricos, con la posibilidad de conocer gente porque es grupal. Una vez terminada, te llevás la lámpara divina y es un bello recuerdo. El taller queda del lado asiático (llegás con el guía, 30 min, súper fácil), lo cual también te da la posibilidad de conocer esa parte de Estambul que es muy linda y diferente. Volvería a hacer el taller 100%. A Turkish mosaic lamp workshop runs about two to three hours. The bulk of that time is spent at the work station. A short demo and a wrap-up sit on either side of the build. You leave with the lamp you make.
The Turkish mosaic lamp workshop is priced per person. The current rate is on the booking page. The lamp body, glass beads, brass base, grout, and bulb are all in the kit. You take the finished lamp home.
The price covers a lamp body, the glass beads, the brass base, the soldering set, your guide, and the lit lamp you take home. Tools and materials are set up at your station. A short studio tour is part of the session.
