This activity was so fun for our group! The instructions were easy to follow and our guide to the Asian side of Istanbul was so nice and helpful. This was the perfect activity for a rainy day.We did this Workshop with two children (ages 10 and 5). It was the perfekt activity for all of us. This was a fantastic experience. An absolutely fantastic activity! If you want to delve deeper into the country's culture and take a little piece of Turkey home with you in your own style, you definitely need to participate in this workshop. It's extremely relaxing and fun. The workshop is beautiful and located in an area of Istanbul that's well worth visiting, full of local markets and mosques to explore and visit. And the instructor was wonderful, very funny, attentive, and explained each step of the mosaic lamp process very well. Everything was great since before the activity began, we met at the meeting point from the European side where we were accompanied to the workshop, they explained very detailed the story and meaning of the mosaic lam, the snacks and tea/coffee are a great plus, and the friendly and professional staff as well. A Turkish mosaic lamp workshop runs about two to three hours. The bulk of that time is spent at the work station. A short demo and a wrap-up sit on either side of the build. You leave with the lamp you make.
The Turkish mosaic lamp workshop is priced per person. The current rate is on the booking page. The lamp body, glass beads, brass base, grout, and bulb are all in the kit. You take the finished lamp home.
The price covers a lamp body, the glass beads, the brass base, the soldering set, your guide, and the lit lamp you take home. Tools and materials are set up at your station. A short studio tour is part of the session.
