Experience

Begin by preparing traditional Turkish simit from scratch. Mix and knead the dough, shape the iconic rings by hand, coat them in a molasses mixture and toasted sesame seeds, and bake them until perfectly golden and crisp.

While your simit is baking, choose one of Turkey's most beloved breakfast dishes to prepare: Menemen, eggs scrambled with tomatoes and peppers; Çılbır, poached eggs with garlic yogurt and spiced butter; Sucuklu Yumurta, eggs cooked with spicy Turkish sausage; or Kuymak, a rich Black Sea dish of local cheese and cornmeal.

Guided by a professional chef, learn the techniques, cultural stories and tips behind your dish before cooking it yourself.

The class ends with everyone enjoying their freshly baked simit and homemade breakfast together, with unlimited Turkish tea and baklava from Karaköy Güllüoğlu. Each participant leaves with a digital recipe booklet and their own simit.

It was so so fun! Loved the communication beforehand and Bahar came to pick us up and guide us to the workshop from a meeting point which was very easy to find (and paid for our travel!). We were greeted very warmly by everyone once we arrived and served snacks and drinks. Zanib who ran our workshop was a delight. So knowledgeable and fun to interact with. Getting to smell so many scents and really being able to choose something unique to you was amazing and if in any doubt Zanib was there to offer her excellent guidance. I would recommend this to anyone even remotely interested in making perfume or even just looking to fill a couple of hours.

Honestly, this was the highlight of our trip. It was just the two of us, so we got tons of 1-on-1 time with the instructor, who really knows his stuff when it comes to leather. They actually met us on the European side and navigated us through the metro over to the Asian side, which took all the stress out of it (they even paid the fare). We were sipping on Turkish coffee and tea the whole time - just felt super welcomed. Definitely book this if you’re in Istanbul

This was such an incredible experience! The location was quite unique with a coffee shop outside and artistry area inside. Very quaint! The instructor, Zey, was superb. She was very professional and personal. She was encouraging and helpful!! We had the greatest time doing not only the stained glass but talking with her. The staff was so anxious to share treats and drinks with everyone. I absolutely recommend this and will use this place again.

Loved this activity making the lamp. A perfect keepsake to bring home. The girls in the shop were lovely! The snacks weren’t much, so don’t plan on skipping any meals. But the tea and coffee was very good. The lamp is the important part, and absolutely wonderful!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Got a question? We're here to answer! If you don't see your question here, contact with us directly on our Contact Page →

What about contracts, insurance and data protection?

We carry event insurance and work to a written safety plan. Participant details are held under Turkish data-protection law and deleted after the event. If your procurement team sends its own contract, we sign that.

What do we have afterwards?

Everyone leaves with the piece they made. We can also put together a professional photo and video summary of the day, and run a short satisfaction survey with the team and send you the results in writing.

How far in advance should we book?

Most groups book two or three weeks ahead and that is plenty. Past fifty people, or when you want labels with your own logo on them, four weeks gives everyone room to breathe. In a rush? Once the calendar even let us set a whole event up in a week.
