Benjamin is very kind and fun. He is a great storyteller, the workshop was a fun and entertaining lesson about the story of Turkish coffee. We made our own coffee and learnt different methods. Then there was the fortune telling session, super fun! In the end we spent some more time with the other workshop guests and Benjamin enjoying a tea with them. Super recommend!!Great experience!!! The coffee workshop was exceptional! Bunyamin personally met us at the meeting point and guided us to the workshop for the experience. He gave us a detailed history of coffee in Turkey and the different ways that coffee can be prepared. After enjoying our coffee Bunyamin shared anecdotes about his family experience with coffee and fortune telling before teaching us how to read each others fortunes in the coffee grounds in a fun way. At the end of the experience he also left us with sets to make Turkish coffee at home! Overall it was a wonderful experience and we highly recommend this to anyone looking for an experience in Istanbul!What an experience!! Benjamin our guide was fantastic picking us up from the other side of Istanbul and taking us to the workshop. The workshop was fun, & educational in a relaxed atmosphere. My partner who is not a coffee drinker and was reluctant to come had the best time as well. Amazing service, gifts to take home & cats to cuddle. Could not recommend this activity enough.In under 2 hours I learned about Turkish coffee history, how to make it, was introduced to the beautiful and chill Asian side of town, had an enthusiastic instructor, meet cool people, and feel in love with an adorable Cafe kitten.The class was fun and informative, plenty of time to relax and enjoy the company and talk with the instructor- I would highly recommend!Thank you!I very much enjoyed learning about the history of kahve, the technique and the fortune telling.This was a really cool experience and we learnt lots about the history of coffee in Istanbul and the different techniques!Очень понравилось. Yes, we did get to learn about the history of Turkish coffee, learn how to make Turkish coffee, and how to do fortune telling over the coffee remains as expected. But I was very impressed with how it was conducted. Bunyamin was ready to tell us the history of coffee with good paintings / photographs, he had all the tools carefully setup, gifted us something that will help us remember how to make Turkish coffee later, and gave us great coaching on how to do fortune telling ourselves. Here is someone who really cares about the experience of the workshop participant, has prepared very well to make it good, then executes it very well! I enjoyed the way he conducted the workshop that I was ready to sign up for more workshops he was offering, because I developed trust that he knows how to put up a good workshop!It's an experience that's worth your money. The session runs about ninety minutes from sit-down to leaving. Brewing takes around twenty, drinking and resting fifteen, and the cup reading another twenty. The rest is open time for second cups, photos, and questions.
You brew Turkish coffee on a cezve with us, drink it slowly, then we read the grounds. The price covers brewing materials, lokum and water, the guide for the full session, and a printed note of the reading.
