Turkish Coffee Making & Fortune Telling Workshop Reviews

The whole experience was amazing. Beyond our expectations they communicated very well and told us the meeting point from there a guide took us on the tram from Europe to Asia side. It’s a quaint little coffee shop and they have other workshop. Fun activities is going on. Such as Making perfume and or bracelets. We attended the Turkish coffee making workshop with fortunetelling. It was very well organized, and Farouk was well prepared and educated us from the very beginning about coffee how it was imported into turkey how it turned into a delicacy and quite the presentation during an important events. We had fun, grinding the coffee and making it . it was delicious. The price was well worth it and at the end they give you a set to take with you, which was such a great keepsake so that we can try it at home on our own. It was such a great experience and we truly enjoyed our time. Thank you so much. I highly recommend this activity for anybody visiting Istanbul.

It was sooo fun!

This was such good value for money, and I don’t even like coffee! My friend is into coffee which is the reason we did this tour. Our guide met us at the metro station on the European side, which we then took over to the Asian side where their workshop was - and the metro fare was included. Even the evening before, the guide sent a WhatsApp to check where we would like to meet, & ensured we knew the location was on the Asian side - which was excellent because we had actually messed this up ourselves. On arrival, each place setting was ready for us, & the guide talked through a little bit of history before showing us how Turkish coffee is made, & then making our own. The activity took a couple of hours, & was really engaging the whole time. Would definitely recommend!

Es war eine kleine Gruppe. Zunächst wurde uns die Geschichte des Türkischen Kaffees vorgestellt und danach die Zubereitung. Der Guide war super nett und hat uns alle Fragen zu dem Kaffee und dem Land beantwortet. Es war eine schöne Atmosphäre.

We really enjoyed the workshop, learned a lot about not just Turkish coffee but also Ottoman history and culture. The guide was really knowledgeable and passionate. It was both informative and interactive. Strongly recommend it to anyone visiting Istanbul.

Excellent experience! So great to learn about the history of coffee in Turkey, understand the coffee making process, make and drink our coffee, and read our fortunes in the grounds! Highly recommended!

Loved it - the coffee and the guys leading the workshop were delightful.

There are two locations for this workshop and the one I participated in was in the Asian side. Isra reached out via Whatsapp to make sure that I had the transportation details. She personally met our group at the metro and guided us to the worship. Mehmet taught the class and he was great. I learned about the history and techniques behind Turkish coffee. Even the fortune telling was fun! We were given a small gift bag with our own Turkish coffee cup and saucer and the pot to make the offer in. Highly recommend taking this workshop!

Molto interessante la parte riguardo la storia del caffè in turchia, sconosciuta ai più. Molto carino il fatto che torni a casa con delle conoscenze in più, ottime da raccontare agli amici mentre prepari ed assapori il caffè turco che hai imparato a preparare durante questo workshop.

It was the best idea ever to visit the workshop. We learnt a lot about coffee and how to brew it. I had the best coffee in my life there and everyone was so friendly and nice. We are definitely coming back!

Guter Mix aus Kaffeegeschichte, Kaffeezubereitung und Wahrsagen. Guides alle sehr nett - haben darüberhinaus noch viele tolle Tipps zu Istanbul gegeben. Aktivität zu empfehlen.

I’m not really one for writing reviews, but I just wanted to thank the team at the work shop, it has been my first memorable activity since I got here, and this is coming from someone who isn’t even the biggest fan of coffee. It was a whole experience and the instructor was immersed in teaching you about the process and the history. Out of all the reviews you might come across.. take this as the sign to give it a go

Really interesting and fun workshop, great value for money and we even received a little set to make our very own turkish coffee at the end!

The best experience ever. The accompanying guide was very helpful. The workshop itself was interesting, and time flew by. The workshop was led by a professional coffee bean roaster. He provided a lot of information not only about the coffee brewing process, but also answered other questions.
