Turkish Mosaic Lamp Workshop Reviews

I participated alone, but it was a very meaningful experience. I would definitely like to try this again when I come to Turkey. I would also like to recommend this experience to friends who are visiting Turkey.

It’s a small group activity in a nice Cafe setting. The organiser would got in touch to give clear options of accessing the venue. Our instructor Mustafa is very nice and explains everything clearly and guides us through the whole process. Drinks and refreshments are on the house and unlimited. You can use the motif provided or unleash your creativity and in the end you got to take home your beautiful design as well as a nicely printed certificate. There is also a stained glass painting workshop and I would definitely try that when we visit Istanbul the next time. Thank you Mustafa and all the lovely staff!

The workshop was a lot of fun, and perhaps our favorite touristy activity in Istanbul! Our guide, Aziz, was very friendly and kind. On the way to their workshop he answered all our questions about Istanbul and gave us ideas on what to visit. The workshop itself was a wonderful experience too. We learned about the history of the lamps and Aziz helped us with everything we asked about. We had a great time and we get to bring home wonderful souvenirs. Way more valuable than had we just bought Turkish lamps in a shop! We wish we could have joined their glass painting workshop too, but sadly we ran out of time. Highly recommended!

What a lovely way to spend part of a day in Istanbul! The activity was informative, creative, and meditative. Our guides were lovely and attentive. I would absolutely recommend this for anyone visiting Istanbul.

The guide Mustafa was excellent, very knowledgeable and helpful. Had a great time and would recommend this activity to all who want to do something unique for the region.

Der Workshop war eine sehr schöne Erfahrung, die Abholung am vereinbarten Treffpunkt mit Mustafa hat einwandfrei funktioniert. Angekommen in der Fabrika wurde uns alles genau erklärt und dann konnten wir auch schon die Lampen nach unserer eigenen Ideen verzieren. Es gab Kaffee und Tee so viel man wollte. Die Lampen sind sehr schön geworden und funktionieren einwandfrei. Würde den Workshop auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen.

Super Workshop! Von der Abholung bis zum Schluss ein tolles Erlebnis! Es hat sehr viel Spaß gemacht die Lampen zu kreieren! Es wird alles Schritt für Schritt erklärt und der Guide ist immer sehr hilfsbereit und geduldig. Wir hätten den ganzen Tag dort verbringen können! Ein Muss in Istanbul. Und die Lampe, die man nach Hause nehmen darf, ist das Sahnehäubchen!

The activity was amazing I received a history lesson on Mosaic & hands in helps with the instructor who answered every questions. This was an extremely therapeutic activity

It was absolutely amazing and so enjoyable! I really enjoyed the fact that we had the opportunity to create something and get involved with the Turkish culture. We also were provider with unlimited tea which was really lovely. I strongly recommend this for anyone visiting Istanbul. You won’t be disappointed! Mustafa was an incredible host 🙂

I had watched these typical oriental lamps in shops and it was a great opportunity to discover how to make it by myself ! I had fun creating this mosaic lamp with the nice help of professionals, and I can say that this activity will stay a highlight of my holidays in Istanbul.

This was so much fun! The instructor was very helpful, there were so many options to make the lamp our own, and it was fairly easy to understand how to do! Great activity for any skill level.

Our host was so friendly and relaxed. We worked at a leisurely pace while chatting, snacking on homemade biscuits and drinking coffee and tea. The room was lovely warm (it was icy outside) and inviting with great background music. It felt like a little retreat away from the hustle and bustle of Istanbul. Whether you're highly creative or not, you can do this. My little lamp is a beautiful reminder of my time in Turkey.

We didn't have any drinks refilled during the 3 hours, and didn't have time to do the finishing touches, had to leave quickly. Overwise it was cool.
