Turkish Mosaic Lamp Workshop Reviews

We had an amazing experience led by Benjamin.. he collected us from the European side and took us to his workshop area on the Asian side. He was very friendly and approachable and happy to answer any questions we had. We had a nice wander around and lunch nearby and then collected our lamps and made our own way back to the European side. Very relaxed and calm atmosphere to have some creative fun and a wonderful personal souvenir and memory to take home. Thank you so much Benjamin!

Здравствуйте! Хотела бы поблагодарить организаторов за очень интересный мастер-класс. У нас была большая компания из 7 человек. Мы сделали подарок-сюрприз нашему другу. Все материалы были подготовлены к нашему приходу. Нам все подробно рассказали и показали. Три часа пролетели незаметно. Мы все получили огромное удовольствие от процесса. Будем вспоминать этот день и любоваться подарком, сделанным своими руками. Фонарик очень надежно упаковали и мы без проблем привезли его домой.

Ходила в экскурсию с дочкой (15 лет). Мы остались очень довольны! Создали два красивых фонарика своими руками и привезли их домой в качестве сувениров! Сам мастер-класс завораживает! Уютная и атмосферная мастерская, приятный ведущий! Нас окружили вниманием и дружелюбием! От всего сердца рекомендую этот мастер-класс!

Fantastic experience. The hosts were super helpful and informative. You can either stay in the cafe as the glue sets or wander the local area and grab a bite to eat or do a little shopping. Would really recommend this experience as we got to take a handmade souvenir back home that reminds us of our trip.

We had a wonderful time at this class! You have the full 3 hours to create whatever you want (they give you help and guidance but you are free to be creative) and they were very patient with us when we couldn't decide on colours too! It is in a cute little cafe in a cool part of the city on the Asia side with some great restaurants around for afterwards too. Easily accessible by metro or the ferry. Would absolutely recommend as something fun and different, and it is excellent value

Great way to spend an afternoon and learn more about the culture

I can’t praise this activity highly enough. The instructors and staff were very friendly and helpful, and the lamp decorating turned out to be the highlight of our trip. You can be as creative as you like, or follow traditional pattern templates. We found it very calming and peaceful, and a good break from the hustle and bustle of the city. Afterwards you have a lovely souvenir that is more special and meaningful than one you buy in a store. The workshop itself is in a beautiful location with a gorgeous café, and after you’ve finished (and waiting for the glue to dry) it’s a good area to walk around and explore.

The hosts were absolutely amazing and so helpful and kind. The experience itself was so relaxing and fun, definitely, a great activity to do while traveling.

I arrived late to the class (traffic in Istanbul is something else!) but Bunyamin and Ali were helpful throughout helping me to navigate to the venue. Real value for money and fun meeting people from around the world all visiting this beautiful city. Hosts were also kind enough to keep the lamp safe while I explored the surrounds and did some amazing shopping after the class.

It was really nice and the guide did a great job. 10/10 recommend!

This was a great way to start the morning on the Asian side of Istanbul! The workshop was relaxed and a lot of fun, it felt nice to make a lamp i could take home rather than buy one. lots of color options and we didn't feel rushed at all!

I was picked up on time at the location as well as others who had signed up. We followed Aziz to the metro and guided us to the location of the workshop where he introduced the activity and all the supplies. He was there in case anyone needed help. There was an endless supply of coffee or tea while you worked on your lamp. They even gave us cookies! After we decorated the lamp, a bulb and stand was supplied so it was a full blown lamp! Not just the part we decorated. I was very happy with the result. After the activity was over we made our own way back.

This was the highlight of our trip for my teenagers. We really enjoyed designing our own lamps. May I suggest showing examples of what lamps could look like and possibly offering more vibrant colors like red, purple or royal blue glass. Otherwise, great activity. Meeting up with the tour provider and taking the ferry over was ideal. If in doubt, make the lamps and create memories that will last a lifetime.

We had the best time making mosaic lamps at this beautiful cafe on the Asia side of Istanbul, both our guides were so lovely and gave great tips for perfecting our lamps and they’ve turned out fabulous! They even bubble wrap the lamp for safe transport and the endless cups of tea coffee and water were great too.

I went there with my mom and we both liked it very much! The instructions were clear, There were a lot of space and materials to be creative. Lamps turned out very cute

Bunyamin is a fantastic host who takes the time out to learn about you, share about his life, and genuinely makes you feel at home. They lamp making process is a matter of art and steady hands. They show you how to make a lamp without making it a hard process. While the lamp dries they treat you to amazing food that you can’t find in your home country. This is a must do activity when you’re in Istanbul.

This is such a fun and unique activity to do in Istanbul and you get to take home the best souvenir, your own mosaic lamp! Highly recommend this awesome experience!!!!
