How long does a workshop typically last?

    Standard run time

Most of our workshops run two to three hours. The build phase takes the bulk of the time. A short demo at the start sets the scene, and a brief wrap-up at the end finishes the piece. Some workshops are slightly shorter, others a bit longer, depending on the craft. The booking page lists the exact run time for each workshop.

    What happens in each phase

A session opens with a guided demo. The guide shows the materials, the tools, and the finished piece. Then you start. Most of the session is hands-on work at your station. The guide moves between stations and helps where needed. The wrap-up takes 10 to 15 minutes. The piece is finished and any drying or sealing happens at this stage.

    Differences across workshops

Mosaic lamp making, stained glass, and tile painting take longer. The build phase has more steps. Perfume making and Turkish coffee with fortune telling sit on the shorter end. They are around two hours total. The exact run time is on each workshop's booking page so you can plan around your schedule.

    How to plan your day

Plan a half day for the session if you want a relaxed pace. Add a buffer for travel to the meeting point and back. Many guests pair the workshop with lunch in the same area. The studio team can suggest cafés near by if you ask. A morning slot pairs well with afternoon sightseeing on either side of the city.

When the session can run longer

If your group works at a slower pace, the guide can extend the session a bit. We do not push you to rush. The studio is set up for the full window. A short run-over of 15 minutes or so is fine. For very large groups or private sessions, the run time may be longer by design.

What to do if you have a tight schedule

If you have a tight day, pick a shorter workshop. Perfume or coffee with fortune telling fit around two hours. Tell the booking page or the team about your end time. The guide can pace the session toward a clean finish at your target time. Photos and a quick wrap-up still get done.

How our run times compare to other art workshops Istanbul has on offer

Other art workshops Istanbul listings sometimes run a fixed 90 minutes. Ours run two to three hours by design. The longer window lets the build phase finish without rushing. Some guests pick our workshop in Istanbul over short tour-style sessions for that reason. The end result is also more substantial.
