How do I pay for my booking?
Where the payment happens
The payment for our workshops happens at the studio on the day of the session. Cash and card both work for us. We do not charge cards online. Your booking on the site or a partner platform holds your seat at no charge until you arrive. The payment closes the booking when the session is over.
Cash and card at the studio
Both cash and card are accepted at the studio. The card terminal handles the standard set of cards. Tip is not on the receipt; if you want to leave a thank-you for the guide, that is fully optional. The receipt is issued from the studio terminal at the end of the session.
Currency
The studio runs in Turkish lira. If you carry a different currency, the card terminal handles the conversion at your bank's rate. Cash payment is in lira at the studio. ATMs are within walking distance of the meeting point if you need to withdraw before the session.
Booking on a partner platform
If you booked through Tripadvisor, GetYourGuide, or Viator, the platform's flow may differ. Some platforms collect at booking, some hold a deposit. Check the platform's confirmation email for the exact terms. Whatever the platform sets, the seat is held the moment you have a booking reference.
Pay for workshop istanbul guests can ask about
Visitors who ask "pay for workshop istanbul" usually want to know if they can pay with a card on the day or only in cash. Both work. The card terminal sits at the studio counter. Cash in lira is also fine. The workshop payment is straightforward: it happens once, on the day, at the studio.
Workshop payment in a private session
For a private workshop payment, the same flow applies for one or two guests. For larger private groups, an advance bank transfer can be arranged on request. Send a note via our contact page and we share the account details before the session.
What is on the receipt
The receipt is for the workshop fee per guest. Tax is included in the listed price. If you need an itemized invoice for an employer, send a note via our contact page before the session and we set the invoice details on the day.
Why we settle at the studio
We settle at the studio for one reason: it is simpler. You see the studio first. You meet the guide. You build the piece. Then you pay. The flow is calm. No hold, no pre-charge, no card detail on the booking page. The seat is held on trust.
A note on tipping
Tipping is fully optional. The studio team does not push for it. If you want to leave a thank-you in cash for the guide, the front desk passes it on. The card terminal does not have a tip line. No tip is added to your bill on its own.
